Review: The Klingon D7 is another Star Trek jewel to add to your collection. This ship is modeled true to Star Trek scale. The D7 is quite daunting to look at with its
green color, yellow klingon lettering and wing shape. Funny, when I think of Klingon ships I always think of two or three of them in formation . Until we get
multi player in Orbiter we'll have to pilot this one alone. Once again this is a very impressive ship to look at from any angle. Although there is no texture added there are just the right amount of colors
for lights, windows and lettering. Alex Reno did an outstanding job with this model. It's hard to believe this is his first Orbiter add-on!
Our conquest need not be confined to our solar system. With the powerful engines of the D7 you
will want to explore other planetary systems available to Orbiter as add-ons. Like other futuristic fantasy ships the D7 can travel from planet to planet at high speeds in little time.
The D7 is highly maneuverable. The ship flies extremely well and has no difficulties with docking to
the ISS. I must say though docking looks quite silly. D7 dwarfs the ISS making you wonder who is servicing who. Even with the built in power it isn't as near as speedy as the Voyager. If you feel this is not fast enough for your taste you may want to change the config settings. You can read how I did
this for the Millenium Falcon in the Tips section. I really enjoy having this ship. I believe most of us
have been influence by the Star Trek TV series and like the idea of being at the helm of these vessels.
Now I'm ready for a whole new set of sound effects to go with these most welcomed add-ons. How about you?
