Jump gate is a phenomenal addon. Quite different then any other addon I have had the pleasure to try. Its not a ship, station, new world nor a MFD, but rather a gate that lets you pass from on place in the solar system to another. At first I thought that this was just something nice to look at and only pretended to be a gate. Not so, this gate is functional, it will transport your ship from one place in the solar system to a gate locate at another planet..

Review:
Jump Gate is beautiful to look at. It consist of three rotating rings which gives the feel that something magical is about to happen. The gate itself has an elegance which draws you in. It's almost mesmerizing just watching the motion of the rings.

Flying into the gate can be elusive. It requires the same skills that are needed to rendezvous with any station or vessel. The first time I flew in I passed right through and was still at the same location. Later I learned the secret to it. You must enter slowly and hang inside the rotating rings momentarily until you make the jump.

Before you can jump you must activate the gate by selecting it as your vessel. Then press a number on the keyboard corresponding to the target gate you want to jump to. There is no indicator showing what you selected so you must trust that it is activated. Then you return to your ship and fly into the gate. The jump itself is nothing spectacular, just a wink of an eye and your there. In fact you could make the jump and not even realize it.

The gates do not have any radio transmiter signals, so finding it could prove to be difficult. I beleive the author plans on upgrading this addon. I'll be looking forward to it. Nice work, very creative.

Tip!
Keep the HUD display up and you can see the major object reference change when the jump is made.
