File Description:
This is the Delta Flyer created by the very talented 3D artist Ed Giddings. All credit to this beautiful model goes directly to him. John Eberts sent him an e-mail asking for permission to use it in Orbiter, and he has approved! Thank you so much Ed! There are no textures to install as Ed has done a fantastic job of using materials for the colors.

Review:
I have know idea how this one slipped my notice for so long I just discovered it a few days ago looking for something else. Whoa! What a find. I hope with this review many more will discover it now through my website.

This model does look absolutely awesome in Orbiter. I am fascinated on how well this appears with no added textures at all. I mean it is just beautiful. Beauty is all this model has to offer but it is enough to get me flying it over and over again. It has no frills, animations or panels and yet I am very content with it the way it is. It does have a docking port that is set right behind the cockpit pilot seat. This makes it a fun challenge to dock to a station port.

There is only one issue I found that you will need to be aware of. For some reason the cockpit view is some 200 meters out in front of the ship. I got to believe this is just a simple typo in the config file. See Tips below to fix.

It flies very well with my current computer specs but the high model poly count may take a hit on frame rate for some. But like I said I hadn't notice any problems myself. This is a sci-fi ship so it's understandable that FlyBoy gave her lots of power. You can scream from Earth base out of the atmosphere in a matter of moments. But you can also fly this futuristic ship more realistically using the direct flight method if you so choose. All flight controls operate as one would expect and are very responsive. Flight characteristics of this vessel are excellent. You will certainly enjoy flying this one. Have fun! I know I am.

Install:
Open the readme file and carefully follow the instructions step by step and it will perform as advertised. ..see installing add-ons

Tips and Tricks!
You will need to make the following change to the DeltaFlyer.cfg file to fix the cockpit view.

Open DeltaFlyer.cfg in notepad
Look for CameraOffset  and change to the following
Like this: CameraOffset = 0 0 2
